SUMMARY:Charity Educational Session – February 7\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:As part of one of our community projects\, Charity members can attend this free educational session about the science of human decision-making and ethical persuasion. It is our contribution to the good work you do. \nHow is Ethical Persuasion helpful for a Charity?\nWhenever we ask another person to agree to our request or cooperate with it\, persuasion skills are crucial. Fund raising and receiving donations is therefor not the only area where a charity team member may benefit from using more of the available science to achieve success. Areas of benefits may be\, but are not limited to: \n\nFundraising (Increasing donations and increasing loyalty to the charity for future donations)\nGaining volunteers and workers\, and extending the time they will be assisting the charity\nPersuading those you assist to follow recommended practices\nIncreasing support for your own events\nGaining assistance or support from local government and councils\nGetting bills paid on time\nImprove team coherency\n\nWhat is covered in this session?\nAs the Australian partner of Dr Robert Cialdini and the Cialdini Institute\, we will teach you insights in: \n\nHow people make decisions\nAn overview of the 7 Universal Principles of Persuasion\nA deep dive into some of these principles and their workings\nCase studies\, mostly Charity related to inspire confidence but also non-charity case studies can be used.\nApplication Tips on how to use what you’ve learned\n\nHow do I gain access?\nThis needs to be organised through your head office. They can connect with us and we’ll instruct them how they can give their Charity team members access. Per charity\, ONE of the two dates needs to be selected for the ‘charity team members’ to attend. This will increase discussion and collaboration to come up with application strategies\, based on what was learned. While this event event is open to those working with Charities\, their contact details will need to come to us from their Charity’s head office in one ‘excel’ file so that we can allow access to those individuals and organise certificates of attendance for them. \nNOTE: We will need to know expected numbers of attendees per Charity as we have a maximum number of people that will fit in the event. \n  \n
